Project Overview:
Floor + Wall Ltd was chosen as the contractor of choice following a comprehensive technical procurement process to supply and install a range of specialised works, including anti-static flooring and hygienic wall coatings, for a new building at the Croda facility.
Our early collaboration with the client’s team and consultation with material manufacturer Flowcrete ensured that all stakeholders were kept well-informed throughout the project. Our proven expertise in installing critical anti-static systems played a key role in securing this project.
Electrostatic discharge (ESD) can pose significant risks to sensitive electronic equipment and, in environments handling volatile gases, powders, liquids, or other substances, may even become a potential ignition source. To mitigate these risks, a controlled Electrostatic Protected Area (EPA) was created by installing an epoxy coating that safely dissipates electrostatic charge to the ground more quickly than it accumulates.
The Flowcrete system we installed meets all three flooring criteria specified in ANSI/ESD S20.20. Additionally, our team applied Peran WW to the facility’s walls. This solvent-free product, with low odour during application, is designed for use on floors, walls, and ceilings in environments subject to chemical and mechanical stress, where stringent hygiene standards must be met—making it the perfect choice for this facility.
We take great pride in our involvement in this project and our continued partnership with Croda. We look forward to working on the next phase of this exciting development soon.
